The Art of Crafting Sac Décoratif
Sac Décoratif began with an exploration of fashion and art history archives, and will always remain deeply intertwined with the vintage aesthetics of eras when fashion was inseparable from art. At our core is the revival of collectible fashion.
Every piece is entirely handcrafted using couture techniques rediscovered in past decades and reimagined through contemporary design approaches. We work with beads, sequins, delicate fabrics, and intricate textures. Our philosophy is rooted in slow craftsmanship, highly limited editions, and true uniqueness — each piece is produced in only 3 to 20 editions.
The first collection is dedicated to the era of Art Deco and the 1920s, drawing inspiration far beyond the boundaries of fashion. In developing the designs and color stories, founder and designer Margarita turned to the theatrical art of the period — from Sonia Delaunay’s costume sketches and her "simultanism" principle, to the polished-satin effect seen in Tamara de Lempicka’s works.
The collection also reflects the spirit of Paul Poiret, Josephine Baker, Greta Garbo, and other cultural figures whose influence shaped the visual language of the time. Sometimes the inspiration wasn’t a person at all, but a lifestyle — like the ‘Midnight Charleston’ bag, born from the smoky ambience of a late-night jazz bar, or the bold ‘Flapper’ piece, reflecting the bright, expressive femininity of the time.
We are reviving the culture of collectible fashion — pieces meant to live across generations. We create art objects, and we see fashion as a form of art, not an industry.
